Grape varieties

Tempranillo, Garnacha, Syrah and Merlot.
Months in barrel: 1 month in a barrel

Wine processing

Young rosé wine.
Each grape variety is harvested separately. The must from each variety is bled off after a cold-skin maceration at 10ºC for 7-10 hours. The blend of the four musts ferments, with local yeasts, at a controlled temperature between 17-19 ºC.

Tasting notes

Colour: intense redcurrant pink. Clean and bright.
Nose: Intense and expressive, aromas that recall violets and glace red fruits.
Palate: Fresh and smooth, powerful, long and sweet due to the balance of the four varieties.

Recommendation

Temperature between 6º and 8º approximately. Due to its tannic structure and the complex mixture of different varieties, this wine is suitable for dishes with powerful flavours and aromas. Good examples of this are rice-based dishes (as the ones listed below) accompanied by meat, oily fishes and any sort of meal made of condiments, such as paprika. The taste of these dishes needs to be counterbalanced with powerful tannins as the ones rosé wines, as Las Cuatro, provide.
